ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT/CONTROLS ENGINEER
We need an experienced Senior Electrical/Instrumentation/Controls Engineer to lead project teams on large projects, and execute small projects in both office and operating plant environments. This is a professional level position requiring a BSEE or similar and approximately 10 years of relevant experience on chemical, heavy industrial, food, pharmaceutical and power projects.
Certifications as Registered Professional Engineer and IEEE Automation Professional are highly desired.
Candidate will have balanced experience with medium voltage electrical power distribution, motors, motor controls, VFD’s, low voltage power for communications, process instruments and controls, detailed design experience for electrical panels, control cabinets, wiring, cable tray, conduits, fiber optics and associated electrical and instrumentation.
Instrument and controls experience must include evaluation, selection, specifications, and programming of control system architecture for distributed control systems and standalone programmable logic control systems. Candidate must be able to interpret and prepare detailed P&ID’s, instrument lists, process and control descriptions, and logic for process equipment and processing plants.
Demonstrated project management skills will include estimates, scheduling, and preparation of bid documents, contract management, construction management, commissioning and cost control.
This is a hands on position that requires current familiarity with DCS, PLC, HMI hardware and programming experience including the following systems:
• GE Automation
Recent experience must include extensive detailed programming and troubleshooting existing systems. Work will include controls and automation system upgrades and expansions along with technology migration to established and future standards in development.
Ideal candidate will be licensed as a professional engineer and possess a broad network of potential colleagues and clients, and have a demonstrated capability of managing a controls systems group within a multidiscipline professional consulting firm.
The work will be based from Western New York but may require up to 50% travel for project implementation and serving client facilities.

We need a Chemical Engineer with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and 5 years’ of manufacturing experience.
Our engineer will be responsible for:
1. Facilitate or participate in HAZOP review.
2. Conducting projects involving specialty chemicals and materials and developing and manufacturing products.
3. Providing technical support, documentation and process improvements for manufacturing areas.
4. Leading process improvement and development efforts from project identification and assessment and implementation.
5. Supporting new product introductions.
6. Supporting site safety, health and environmental goals.
7. Implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) related programs.
8. Serving as PSM and Mechanical Integrity Coordinator.
9. Leading implementation of Lean, Six Sigma and other manufacturing objectives.
1. Work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
2. Work in a team environment.
3. Have a track record of completing capital projects on time and within cost estimates.
Experience with food, dairy or chemical plants is a plus. Also heavy machinery or equipment manufacturing is a plus, but not mandatory.
