  • Licensed professionals preferred, ownership potential for qualified licensed design professionals with
    demonstrated successful executive business experience
  • Professional level required, 10 years plus of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in design and analysis
    • Mechanical Engineers must be very experienced in ASME pressure vessel and piping design
      including applicable analysis and code check software such as COMPRESS, CEASAR, and
      similar programs. Experience in industrial HVAC, material handling systems, packaged
      equipment and other mechanical systems in heavy industrial projects also desired.
    • Electrical Engineers must be very experienced in specifications and design of medium and high
      voltage power distribution systems, including circuit analysis, relay and protection, arc flash
      analysis using code check software such as EDSA, SKM, ETAP or similar.
    • Instrumentation/Controls Engineers must have demonstrated experience in managing new and
      modified process, material handling and machine control projects. Detailed experience in
      design and commissioning of systems including PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA, distributed control
      systems (DCS) and advanced process control (APC) is required.
  • Experience in management of multidiscipline teams for design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ability to lead preliminary designs, present and justify alternatives, and make recommendations to
    plant/company management.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for complete projects, including risk assessments and contingency
  • Author and review for approval detailed design drawings, specifications and bidding documents.
  • Manage contracts and contractors in operating plant environments, including writing work permits,
    scheduling, progress reporting, financial reporting, processing contract change orders, quality
    assurance, commissioning, and startup.


  • Applicants must have demonstrated experience and current practice (5000 hours minimum) in solid modeling and designing/detailing with 3D CAD software such as Solid Works, Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD MEP, Bentley/Rebis AutoPLANT, Siemens NX (Unigraphics), Alibre, Pro/Engineer or similar software. Multidiscipline design using REVIT is highly desired.
    • Mechanical designers must have extensive detailing experience for equipment skids and packaged equipment, piping, piping spools, tubing, fittings, insulation, pipe supports, welded and bolted assemblies, including preparation of bill of materials and shop fabrication drawings.
    • Electrical designers must have extensive detailing experience for equipment skids and packaged equipment, interconnection and wiring diagrams, cable and conduit selection, selection and detailing of instruments, controls, electrical cabinets and other miscellaneous electrical, monitoring and communication devices.
    • Instrument Control Technicians must have broad design and field experience in industrial controls including PLC & HMI programming, Ethernet/Profibus I/O addressing/communication and trouble-shooting, panel layout and detailing, instrument selection, instrument calibration, commissioning, preparation of P&ID’s and wiring schematics using ACAD or ACAD Electrical.
  • Hands on shop fabrication, installation and commission experience will be considered favorably.
  • Senior designers must be able to generate detailed 3D documents, and independently check the production work of others to established standards and the applicable design and fabrication codes.
  • Ideal candidates will have prior experience in designing, detailing and fabricating equipment for air separation plants, industrial gas plants, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, industrial power train systems, including steam turbines, or experience on heavy industrial plants and related OEM equipment.
